Italy and Greece Travel Tips

This summer I went on a Norwegian Cruise Starting from Rome Italy around the Greek Isles and back through Italy. All the ports we went to in order: Embarked- Civitavecchia(Rome), then at sea, Santorini Greece, Athens Greece, Mykonos Greece, Crete Greece, Valletta Malta, Sicily Italy, Naples Italy, Florence Italy and Disembark (Rome Italy).
We picked this cruise because we wanted to see as many places as we could. The boat was nice. There is two pools right next to each other, they have a nice casino but the rooms are on the smaller side. The best part of the cruise ship is the shows!! Overall we loved the trip!

One of my favorite parts of the cruise ship was the shows. The shows are amazing!

We spent a few days before the cruise and I am so glad we did!

Places to see in Rome!

The Trevi Fountain

The Spanish Steps

The Roman Colosseum

Best pizza place: Piccolo Buco

There is gelato on every corner and it is amazing! So eating gelato is a must!

The first stop of the cruise was....

Santorini

Santorini is beautiful and Oia village is everything everyone says it is. I will definitely be back here!

Athens

It is a very industrial city with good shopping, great gyros and amazing crepes! We went and saw the Parthenon, which was huge and very crowded. But so cool to see!!

Mykonos

Mykonos is beautiful and their beaches are gorgeous.

Definitely see the windmills and little Venice!

Crete

Crete is adorable. We didn't get to see much but what we did see it was so cute!

Malta

Malta is WOW. I loved Malta, so beautiful!

Blue lagoon is a MUST! One of the most beautiful places I have ever been too.

Sicily

In Sicily we hiked Mt. Etna. The views at the top are definitely worth it! I recommend seeing it. walked around several shops

Naples

We stopped by the Amalfi Coast for only about an hour, not enough time to see it all. I will go back there one day!

We also went to Sorrento and visited a Limoncello factory. It was adorable. Sorrento has lots of beauty and cute shops!

Last stop was...

Florence

Florence has old streets that are absolutely stunning.

Pisa is of course a must! Be warned like all the major tourist places this is crowded but still places for good!

Florence has amazing food!

Loved being able to see so many places! I recommend going on a cruise to se what places you would like to go back to one day. One big reason I enjoyed the cruise so much was, we got to keep our luggage in one place, even though we were going from place to place!
